User comment: HORRIBLE STAFF

UNANSWERED EMAIL TO BOTH EMAILS ON THE GM'S BUSINESS CARD YUMA, AZ .. I WOULD NEVER EVER TAKE MY FAMILY HERE AGAIN

Dear Mr. Gurney:

At approximately 5:00pm this evening my three foster children and I ate at your restaurant Applebees in the big curve shopping center, Yuma, AZ.

We ordered appetizers and thank goodness we did, my son and I ordered the "take 2" specials with steak and wedge salad. When our food arrived we could not find the steak at first due to the fact that this piece of meat was buried in a clump of greasy, wilted spinach. When we did find the steak they were the size of a 50 cent piece and although ordered medium they arrived well as i am sure there is no way to cook a 50 cent size piece of meat to order. You may be asking why I did not bring this to my server's attention. Our server was very overwhelmed serving tables and I did overhear another family complain that they had waited a long while and had not even received drinks.

The Manager did come to take my credit card and when i explained this to her she offered to sell me 7oz. steaks for the difference of the price. The manager did also state that, "she usually tells the servers to explain to guests how small the steak is for the price and offer the 7 oz for an added charge.

As a foster parent my entertainment monies are planned and spent with great care. I am very disappointed. Further, how this was handled was unacceptable in my opinion. As we left I asked for the corporate number but was given your card instead. I am sincerely hoping that I can get some answers here with you today.
